- Import the SCOM generated example to your sequencer and examine the
- track controllers. You should be able to see pitch bend controller
- information which is sent just before each note. Tunings are realized
- with this pitch bend information.
-
- If you do not get any responce from your synth then the sound of
- the synth is set not to respond to pitch bend controller. Some
- synths allow to define for each voice separately the amount of
- pitch bend they are responding. Try finding this setting from the
- synth menus.
-
- Try recording with your sequencer a short melody and use pitch bend.
- Does your sequencer record the pitch bend wheel in operation? Does
- it also play it back?
-
- When you do not have pitch information available about your synth,
- you must solve the number of semitones 'by ear' using the 24 tone
- tester.
-
- Inform me of your progress. It is working well on Kurzweil 2000 and
- Yamaha MU80 and since pitch bend is universally recognized MIDI
- information there should not be restrictions. But for example in
- MU80 it will not work if the sound itself is set not to respond
- to pitch bend.
